SUSTAINABLE LIVING SKILLS
AND PERMACULTURE
With Jean Anderson, Chris Lutz, and Catherine Stinson Yellowroot
August 6-7, 2011
Have you been wanting to become more self sustainable? Here is your opportunity to learn the skills that will get you there while enjoying a weekend in the mountains!
Come join us for a two day workshop on learning and practicing the skills of sustainable living. We will cover a wide variety of topics, with some lecture and lots of hands on participation. Nestled in the beautiful mountains of North Georgia, we will learn about permaculture principles and practices, organic gardening, food preservation, fermentation, bee keeping, mushroom log inoculation, rain water catchment, gray water systems, alternative energy, natural building, and more! The material covered will apply to both rural and urban settings, to raw land or to properties with existing infrastructure. There will also be time to enjoy a swim in the river! Jean and Chris are both certified in permaculture and have a plethora of wisdom to share.
Cost: $150 this includes the two day workshop, farm fresh local organic meals, and lodging.
